The launch of what?
Today we are officially launching the beta version of RockScience.tv, the site that will become the hub and heart of the RockScience game. You’ll be able to follow the game’s development and get straight-from-the-source teasers. And since this game is a tribute to rock, by and for rockers, we’re also going to use it as the rehearsal room. Expect to find funny trivia, weird facts and great myths about the best bands and rockers and their paraphernalia. To make this happen, we’re teaming up with lots of people in the rock scene: renowned musicians, journalists, profiles and, above all, passionate fans.
What’s going on in the RockScience Lab?
Right now we’re working for king and country to get the game in your hands as soon as possible. Besides the task of writing questions (we’re going to beat Trivial Pursuit for sure!), we are deeply absorbed in the graphic design. The physical box, the future look of the home page, and the whole visual feel to the game. We’ve got one of the great rock stars of Scandinavia leading the creative visual process!
We’re also running as many test gigs of the game as we possibly can, trying out new features, inviting everyone from the truest of rockers to their grandmothers. The beer’s flowing, air guitars are being played, and heated arguments are shouted back and forth. If you want to be one of our test players, give us a shout here. In fact, we’d like to invite you to join the The Rock Alliance.
The Rock Alliance?
Yes, you heard that right. The Rock Alliance will be launched later this fall. And the first thing you should do as a fan of rock (working on becoming a true Rock Scientist) is to register for our newsletter so you won’t miss the launch of The Rock Alliance. Please also contribute to the game by writing questions. Questions you submit to us which appear in the game will give you credit as a Rock Ambassador!
Finally, please use the contact form to send us your ideas, suggestions and comments. In order to make a game for the rock community we love, we’d like to collect the full knowledge of as many rockers out there as we possibly can.
