As you know the Doom franchise is very popular around the world and Bethesda after the release of the debut installment Doom Eternal wanted to expand the audience to mobile devices. Mighty Doom is being developed by Alpha Dog Games studio, which is part of Bethesda Softworks. Alpha Dog Games has experience in mobile game development, including games based on other franchises such as The Elder Scrolls and Fallout.
Development of Mighty Doom began in 2020 after Alpha Dog Games received a license from id Software to create a mobile game based on the classic Doom game series. The developers aimed to create a game with high-quality graphics and large-scale battles with demons, while retaining the main elements of the combat system and dynamics of the main games of the Doom series, that is, they sought to preserve the key elements of the main games of the Doom series, namely the combat system, game dynamics, epic battles with demons. They also put an emphasis on mobile-friendly controls, creating a new system of shooting and moving the main character. A special feature of the Mighty Doom development is that the developers of Doom Eternal took part in it as consultants, which allowed Alpha Dog to gain more knowledge and experience in developing the game based on the classic Doom series.

Mighty Doom has two game modes: the campaign and the challenges. In the campaign the player goes through different levels, each of which consists of 50 rooms where you have to kill all the enemies. After each room if the player gets the right amount of points, he can choose one of three randomly generated upgrades improving Mini Doom Slayer abilities, and after every 4 rooms there is a sentry who offers a choice of one of two upgrades: health regeneration, weapon damage boost or shooting speed. And after every 10 rooms there are bosses which you kill by catching, some of them after your victory will fight together with other demons on the battlefield – Baron of Hell. Also, in some cases, you can stun a demon to make a dismemberment to raise your health, this is the main feature of the whole Doom series. In test mode, the player plays in an arena of 20 rooms with certain enemy modifiers or vulnerabilities to certain weapons, you can level up for all the tests 11 times. The game also has different types of enemies, each with their own strengths and weaknesses, as well as explosive barrels and traps, which adds more strategy and requires a certain level of tactics from the player. In general, the gameplay of Mighty Doom is very addictive and makes you want to go through it again and again, making efforts to become the best in the battle with demons.
